The Korean Academy of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (KATRD) is pleased to announce the 
2026 International Respiratory Young Investigator Program , an overseas training initiative designed for promising
young chest physicians under the age of 40 from Southeast Asia.

Following the successful launch of the program in 2025 and the highly positive feedback received from participants,
we are delighted to continue this valuable educational opportunity in 2026. We warmly invite applications from
aspiring young investigators who are eager to enhance their knowledge, clinical expertise, and international
collaboration in the field of respiratory medicine.

How to Apply

Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications through the official Google application form of the Korean Academy of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (KATRD). To be eligible for consideration, applicants must complete all of the following requirements:

  • Complete the official Google application form
  • Submit an updated CV (any format is acceptable)
  • Complete the KATRDIC 2026 Early Registration and pay the USD 100 deposit
  • Submit an abstract

Application Deposit Policy and Agreement

  • Application Deposit Policy
    • A USD 100 application deposit is required at the time of application to prevent no-shows.
    • Applicants who are not selected will receive a full refund of the USD 100 deposit.
    • Once selected, the USD 100 deposit is non-refundable, regardless of cancellation, withdrawal, or no-show.

    Program Support by KATRD

    • Travel grant support is not automatically granted and will be determined based on abstract evaluation.
    • Accommodation, meals, and transportation at participant's expense
    • Applicants who are not selected for the program will receive a full refund of the USD 100 application deposit.
